Increase the fluorescence signal

Selective Plane Illumination Microscopy (SPIM) or light sheet microscopy is the fastest microscopy technique to image live, voluminous biological samples. These samples and the capillary, which is typically used as a sample holder, induce some aberrations that will limit the optical quality of the imaging system. Adaptive Optics is proved to be very effective in correcting this sort of aberrations and enables to drastically improve the resolution and contrast of the image and to reach deeper layers of the sample in SPIM imaging.
