We are glad to announce today the acquisition of Karthala System, a company specialized in multiphoton microscopy and creator of the AODscope, a fast and innovative acousto-optic two-photon microscope used in neuroscience research.

Karthala System AODscope Bioimaging

This integration combines the complementary expertise of our microscopy-dedicated division, mu-Imagine, in deformable mirrors and adaptive optics, with Karthala System’s know-how in multiphoton imaging technologies.

mu-Imagine Bioimaging

By merging these technological strengths, Imagine Optic reinforces its position in the bioimaging and photonics markets while continuing to deliver reliable and high-precision optical solutions to its customers.

Samuel Bucourt, President of Imagine Optic, commented:
“This alliance will deliver the best technological offer on the two-photon microscopy market. These technologies are complex and take time to develop, but they are true game changers in the field, enabling finer, faster, and deeper observation of biological samples, a better understanding of cellular processes and interactions, and accelerating the development of therapies, particularly in neuroscience.”

Benjamin Mathieu, co-founder of Karthala System, added:
“With this partnership, Karthala System will have access to new expertise and Imagine Optic’s industrial experience.”
